A seven-stage path

Where are you in your journey?

Everyone arrives at a different point. Read through the stages below and choose the one where you see yourself most — you can move earlier or later at any time.

Stage 1

Autopilot

  • Going through the motions, but not sure why
  • Something feels missing, even if life looks fine
  • Never really stopped to ask who you are underneath the roles you play
  • Something recently shook you awake — a loss, a change, a quiet feeling of “is this it?”
This is me

Stage 2

Living in Your Head

  • Replaying conversations, worrying about the future, rarely feeling present
  • Noticing how much of your suffering comes from your own thoughts
  • Starting to see that your mind tells a story — and you've mistaken the story for reality
  • Wanting to understand why you feel like a passenger to your own thinking
This is me

Stage 3

Waking Up

  • Questioning beliefs you were raised with, and nothing quite fits anymore
  • Sensing there's more to life than what you were taught to accept
  • Drawn to spiritual or philosophical ideas for the first time, even if you can't explain why
  • Something in you no longer accepts easy answers
This is me

Stage 4

The Dark Night

  • Been through a collapse — of meaning, identity, faith, or all three
  • Old beliefs have fallen away and nothing new has replaced them yet
  • Feeling like you're grieving a version of yourself, or of reality, that no longer holds
  • Somewhere underneath the pain, sensing something quieter watching it all happen
This is me

Stage 5

Shadow Integration

  • Ready to face the parts of yourself you've avoided, denied, or judged
  • Noticing patterns — relationships, reactions, wounds — that keep repeating
  • Wanting to stop being run by what's unconscious in you
  • Doing the work of becoming whole, not just “positive”
This is me

Stage 6

Gnosis

  • Less interested in believing something, more interested in knowing it directly
  • Sensing a spark of something divine in you that no religion fully named
  • Drawn to direct experience — insight, presence, awakening — over doctrine
  • The line between “ordinary” and “sacred” feels like it's thinning
This is me

Stage 7

The Pleroma

  • Suspecting the separation you've felt your whole life was never fully real
  • Not seeking anymore — settling into what was already whole
  • Boundaries between self and world feel less solid than they used to
  • Ready to rest in wholeness, not chase it
This is me
